Job Summary

The Staff Nurse/ANM is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients. The position involves patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring vital signs, assisting doctors, maintaining patient records, health education, and supporting infection prevention and control practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients according to established clinical protocols.

  • Assess and monitor patients' health conditions, vital signs, and treatment responses.

  • Administer prescribed medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments safely.

  • Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient nursing records and documentation.

  • Provide wound care, dressing, catheter care, and other routine nursing procedures.

  • Support emergency care and respond appropriately to changes in patients' conditions.

  • Educate patients and family members about medication, treatment, hygiene, nutrition, and follow-up care.

  • Maintain proper infection prevention and control standards.

  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper availability of nursing equipment and supplies.

  • Participate in maternal, newborn, child health, immunization, and community health activities where applicable.

  • For ANM roles, support antenatal, postnatal, family planning, reproductive health, and basic maternal-child healthcare services.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional ethical standards.

  • Prepare shift handover reports and communicate important patient information to the incoming team.

  • Perform other nursing duties assigned by the supervisor.


Required Qualifications

Staff Nurse:

  • Proficiency Certificate in Nursing (PCL Nursing) or equivalent recognized qualification.

  • Valid registration with the Nepal Nursing Council.

  • Previous clinical experience is preferred.

ANM:

  • ANM qualification from a recognized institution.

  • Valid registration with the Nepal Nursing Council.

  • Relevant experience is preferred but may not be mandatory for entry-level positions
