Job Summary

The Senior Ophthalmologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating eye diseases, performing eye surgeries, and providing quality eye care services. The role also involves supervising junior doctors, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the overall operations of the ophthalmology department.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and treat patients with eye conditions.

• Perform eye surgeries, including cataract and other ophthalmic procedures.

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.

• Prescribe medications, glasses, and treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation.

• Supervise and mentor junior doctors and clinical staff.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality standards.

• Participate in health camps, awareness programs, and continuing medical education (CME).

Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/MS in Ophthalmology or an equivalent postgraduate qualification.

• Valid medical registration and specialist license.

• Preference will be given to candidates who have done fellowship.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience as an ophthalmologist.

• Proven experience in performing ophthalmic surgeries independently
