Job Summary
The Senior Accounts and Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, treasury management, and financial planning. The role ensures financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial support to management for effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records and ledgers.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial transactions.
Develop financial reports and dashboards for management review.
Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for business improvement.
2. Budgeting & Planning
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Monitor budget utilization and variance analysis.
Support strategic financial planning and cost control initiatives.
Provide financial insights for investment and expansion decisions.
3. Accounting Operations
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
Ensure timely bank reconciliations and account closures.
Maintain internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
Oversee fixed asset management and depreciation schedules.
4. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure compliance with tax laws, VAT, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Prepare and review tax returns and statutory filings.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
5. Treasury & Risk Management
Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements.
Monitor financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Ensure efficient utilization of funds and liquidity management.
6. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and supervise finance and accounting staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and staff development activities.
Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
