Job Summary
A Sales Consultant is responsible for identifying customer needs, presenting products or services, and closing sales to achieve revenue targets. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships and providing tailored solutions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Segmentation, Targeting & Positioning (STP)
Conduct STP analysis of customers, focusing on Hyundai’s premium segment offerings.
Proactively collect fresh inquiries from walk-in customers at the showroom, as well as potential and prospective clients through daily interactions or planned external visits.
Develop in-depth product knowledge of Hyundai vehicles and competitor offerings to analyze benefits and value propositions effectively.
Educate customers (both walk-in and external visits) on Hyundai’s premium car models available in Nepal, generating leads and driving interest.
Strategize and plan to achieve monthly sales targets in collaboration with the showroom supervisor.
Other Responsibilities
1. Sales Functions
Track weekly and monthly individual sales targets to ensure consistent progress.
Maintain a comprehensive database of walk-in customers and incoming leads, conducting timely follow-ups to achieve sales goals.
Prepare and finalize sales contracts post-vehicle booking, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers before and after the sale to prevent customer attrition to competitors.
Communicate regularly with customers to update them on vehicle status, delivery progress, and collect feedback after delivery.
Ensure proper documentation and remarks are recorded after each follow-up and customer interaction.
Coordinate with the Sales Manager regarding discounts, vehicle allocation, order processing, and timely delivery.
Ensure full compliance with delivery procedures and contractual terms.
Provide daily updates on bookings, sales, stock, and activities to the Sales Manager.
2. Vehicle Delivery & Documentation
Collaborate with the Logistics Department to ensure timely vehicle delivery and proper insurance documentation.
Work closely with the Yatayat Department for vehicle registration and ownership transfer.
Collect customer feedback before vehicle delivery and address any final suggestions or concerns.
Ensure collection of invoice, bill book, free service coupons, and ensure proper vehicle handover to customers.
3. Payment Collection & Dues Settlement
Verify the accuracy of Performa invoices and billing details.
Proactively follow up on outstanding dues and ensure timely payment settlements.
Coordinate with customers, the Accounts Department, and banks to ensure smooth processing of Bank DOs (Demand Orders).
Maintain a record of payments for each vehicle delivered and handle overdue payments as required.
Manage interest collection for delayed payments, adhering to company policies.
Must be fully liable for payment collection of the vehicle delivered.
4. Customer Care & Handling
Maintain accurate records of daily visitors using the customer relationship management (CRM) software.
Conduct timely follow-ups to convert leads into bookings.
Track and analyze booking records to improve lead management and conversion rates.
Keep comprehensive customer records, including vehicle delivery requirements and handover details.
Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and an outstanding buying experience.
Educate customers on after-sales services and warranty clauses to ensure full understanding.
Record and report customer calls, feedback, and follow-up schedules.
5. Competitor Activity Analysis
Regularly evaluate and report on competitor activities, market trends, and sales strategies.
Collect and analyze competitors’ sales data to stay informed of industry shifts.
Provide valuable feedback and strategic insights to the Sales Manager, especially regarding competitor discounts and promotional tactics.
6. Compliance with Hyundai Guidelines
Ensure adherence to Hyundai’s Corporate Identity (CI) and Sales Index (SI) standards.
Maintain and improve the Social Selling Index (SSI) to optimize online and social media engagement.
7. Critical Measurable Functions
Develop and implement effective sales plans to maximize lead generation and conversion.
Continuously generate sales leads and prospects through proactive outreach and networking.
Provide timely and accurate reports to the manager regarding sales activities, market insights, and competitor movements.
