Job Summary

The Recovery Officer is responsible for managing and recovering overdue loans and outstanding payments from customers. The role involves contacting delinquent borrowers, negotiating repayment arrangements, maintaining recovery records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate demand & reminder letters to defaulting customers

• Coordinate with dealers and handle ground-level recovery coordination

• Liaise with legal counsel on court cases and bank blacklisting procedures

• Produce weekly and monthly collection reports

• Conduct site visits and follow-ups to implement remedial action plans

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment commitments, and collection activities in the system

• Locate & contact debtors; negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Prior experience in loan recovery, collections, banking, microfinance, or credit operations is preferred.
