Job Summary

The Procurement & Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing procurement, inventory, warehousing, transportation, and logistics activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. The role focuses on sourcing quality goods and services, maintaining supplier relationships, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring timely delivery while complying with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement coordination for scrap, sponge iron, silico manganese, ferro alloys, consumables, spare parts, and other operational materials.

• Receive PI and processing LC / TT banking coordination with finance department, issuance of timely purchase order, agreement issuance.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit periods, and commercial agreements with suppliers.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, transporters, customs agents, and logistics service providers.

• Coordinate end-to-end logistics from supplier dispatch to factory delivery.

• Manage fleet movement, vehicle availability, freight negotiations, and transportation costs.

• Handle customs clearance, border documentation, vehicle clearance, and statutory compliance requirements.

• Monitor inventory levels and establish reorder points to prevent production disruptions.

• Ensure timely procurement approvals, purchase orders, goods receipt verification, and supplier follow-ups.

• Manage vendor outstanding balances and support working capital optimization initiatives.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement and logistics MIS reports.

• Conduct market intelligence, price trend analysis, and supplier benchmarking.

• Ensure 24/7 coordination during emergencies involving material shortages, transit delays, supplier disputes, or logistics disruptions.
