Job Summary

The Momo Maker is responsible for preparing high-quality, hygienic and delicious momos according to the restaurant's recipes and standards. The position involves preparing dough and fillings, shaping and cooking different varieties of momos, maintaining food hygiene, managing ingredients, and ensuring timely preparation of customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix dough for momo wrappers with appropriate consistency.

• Prepare fillings using meat, vegetables, spices and other required ingredients.

• Prepare different varieties of momos such as steam, fried, jhol, C-momo and other menu items.

• Roll and shape momo wrappers uniformly.

• Fill, fold and seal momos properly to maintain consistent size and appearance.

• Cook momos according to standard recipes, cooking times and temperature requirements.

• Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion size and presentation.

• Prepare momo chutney, achar, jhol and other related items when required.

• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.

• Maintain adequate stock of dough, fillings, sauces and other momo ingredients.

• Inform the supervisor about shortages, wastage or quality issues.

• Follow standard recipes and portion-control procedures.

• Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and on time.

• Work efficiently during peak hours and high-volume orders.

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.

• Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils and kitchen equipment regularly.

• Follow food safety, personal hygiene and kitchen sanitation standards.

• Store ingredients properly and minimize food wastage.

• Coordinate effectively with chefs, kitchen helpers and service staff.

• Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Basic education; ability to read and understand kitchen instructions preferred.

• Previous experience as a Momo Maker, Cook, Kitchen Helper or similar role preferred.
