Job Summary
The Export Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing international sales, expanding overseas markets, maintaining relationships with foreign customers and distributors, and achieving export sales targets. The role involves market research, business development, export documentation coordination, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. International Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new export markets and business opportunities.
Generate and maintain relationships with international customers, distributors, and agents.
Achieve export sales targets and revenue goals.
Prepare and negotiate quotations, contracts, and pricing with overseas clients.
Conduct market research to identify trends, and customer requirements.
2. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain regular communication with international customers.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales support.
Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
3. Export Operations Coordination
Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Monitor order processing, shipment schedules, and delivery timelines.
Ensure accurate preparation of export-related documents such as:
Commercial Invoice
Packing List
Certificate of Origin
Bill of Lading/Airway Bill
Letter of Credit (LC) documents
4. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare export sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis reports.
Monitor export sales performance and profitability.
Provide regular updates to management on market developments and business opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Export sales revenue achievement.
New international customers/distributors acquired.
Export order fulfillment rate.
Customer retention and satisfaction levels.
Timely completion of export documentation.
Market expansion and new country penetration.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in export sales or international business development.
Strong knowledge of export procedures, documentation, and international trade regulations.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Ability to travel internationally when required.
