Job Summary:

The EV Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining electric 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers. The role involves working on electrical systems, battery systems, controllers, motors, charging systems, and general vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on electric 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain EV battery systems, controllers, motors, and wiring

• Conduct regular servicing and preventive maintenance of EV vehicles

• Perform software diagnostics and basic system updates where required

• Repair or replace defective electrical and mechanical components

• Test vehicles after repair to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance

• Handle battery charging, installation, and replacement procedures safely

• Maintain service records and job cards accurately

• Assist customers with basic technical explanations and after-service guidance

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment

• Follow all workshop safety standards and EV handling procedures

• Coordinate with spare parts and service teams for timely job completion

• Report recurring technical issues to management for further analysis
  

Requirements:

• Diploma, CTEVT certification, or technical training in Automobile/Electrical Engineering or related field

• Experience working with electric vehicles preferred

• Knowledge of EV systems, electrical diagnostics, and vehicle servicing

• Basic understanding of controllers, lithium batteries, motors, and charging systems

• Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Physically fit and willing to work in workshop environments
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with both EV scooters/bikes and EV cars

• Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS)

• Familiarity with CAN communication systems and EV software diagnostics

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• Good teamwork and communication skills
  

Working Conditions:

• Workshop and field service environment

• May require lifting parts and prolonged standing

• Occasional outdoor service or breakdown support may be required
