Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing the organization's financial records, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting financial planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.

• Prepare and process payroll.

• Calculate and file VAT, income tax, and other statutory returns.

• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.

• Prepare budgets and monitor budget performance.

• Assist in internal and external audits.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and government regulations.

• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.

• Generate management reports and provide financial analysis.

• Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.

• Perform other finance-related duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of accounting experience (or as required by the organization).
